A journey from a dream to reality. My own BMW garage.
After graduating from electromechanical school, I spent my spare time working privately on friends’ cars. In 2007, I had the opportunity to drive a BMW E34 5 Series, and I was immediately hooked. That experience sparked my passion for BMW vehicles, and by 2010, I had my sights set on owning a BMW E36 to modify for auto racing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t financially possible at the time.
Between 2010 and 2014, I worked in various professions while continuing to repair and maintain cars, including BMW models, in my free time. In 2014, I discovered the BMW E46 Coupe 3.0 petrol variant—a car that truly fascinated me. With my wife’s support, I finally purchased one in 2015. That same year, I was working as a truck driver in Kent. Next to the company’s gate was a garage owned by Ariel, a car enthusiast who spent most of his time modifying a Toyota Supra 2JZ drift car….
….One afternoon, during my lunch break, I saw him take the Supra out for a test drive. That moment was a turning point—it made me realize exactly what I wanted to do. From that day on, I dedicated myself to learning everything about BMW engines, modifications, and tuning. I invested in BMW-specific diagnostic tools, spent countless nights studying, and, of course, made mistakes—buying the wrong parts and losing money because I had no one to guide me. But my determination never wavered.
By 2017–2018, I had gathered enough tools to open a small BMW repair garage. My wife supported me in purchasing most of the equipment, making my dream possible. In 2019, we relocated to Sheffield, and I immediately felt like this was where I was meant to be. By 2022, I officially opened my own independent BMW specialist garage in Sheffield—E46 Garage.
The name is inspired by the first BMW I truly fell in love with—the E46. Although I no longer have time to drive it as much as I’d like, my passion for BMW repairs, servicing, and diagnostics continues. Over the years, I’ve realized that true expertise comes from specialization. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself fully to one brand—BMW. I believe that you can’t be an expert in every car manufacturer; you might know a little about many, but not enough to be a true specialist.
